Any comments on this one? Especially concerning the fixes for games and bugs. I can't read the release notes without completely freezing my comp, had to reboot the whole thing. Strange.

Yes, it fixes a SHIII problem for iirc the 6600 and 6800 cards. Check the release notes for additional info.

Default What a beautiful world!

I downloaded this driver a couple of days ago and got rid of all my graphical SH3-problems (6600 card). Crew used to get white ghost heads in 3D (yes, it is rough weather out there, but not that bad!), the sun is not just a white circle, it is so.... Pretty! Spent half of my mission yesterday on the surface with no time compression just to watch waves, seagulls, land (land is no longer a white shaddow with trees on top!), and of course enjoying seeing my crew's faces

SH3 is a great graphical game too, I just didn't know before yesterday, thought it was a bit buggy but as long as my function keys work I can use the sim so I more or less stopped using the 3D views. Now I can't stop

I concur. The graphics in general look better but there's definitely imrpovement regarding sea, sun and the crew- no more seasick faces while still at port. One thing I noticed, however, that Hi-rez Moon mod isn't pretty at all anymore, though this is based only on a couple of quick looks with observation scope.
