Default Torps won't reload

Hi All,
While convoy training I got to a point were even though I had plenty of fresh men the torpedos weren't getting loaded. Putting the cursor on the torp I got "Torpedo waiting in Q". Is this a bug?

Thanks,
Rick

Are you running in silent mode???
Torpedoes stops loading in that mode.

Be careful there is a bug that under certain circumstances it will keep silent mode on when reloading the game and that even if the silent mode icon is off. Just activate it and turn it off, that should do it.

Yep I sure was. I was on the surface at night recharging my batteries after hitting the convoy and never turned it of.

Thanks,
Rick

by "fatigue system", I mean more than just regular old stamina...

The whole compartment system is flawed. Perhaps your men don't have enough morale, perhaps the compartment efficiency values are too low, perhaps crew efficiency is set too low... I don't know, that's why I don't use the entire RUb fatigue system.

"I don't know, that's why I don't use the entire RUb fatigue system"

Good point, but how do you remove the fatigue system?

You have to text edit the basic.cfg file...

Or you can use SH3Cmdr to set some different fatigue settings. Personally, I trust myself to set my own settings, but for those of you who do not like to fidgit with your files, I recommend using SH3Cmdr. The program is very automated and it will practically write your settings for you.

How do you get these guys to load the 'extra' torps that are stored outside the pressure hull? I've tried using the cursor to move the fish into the sub (in clear, non-stormy weather too) and these lazy bums just won't do it. Am I missing something?

Move the external torpedo to the an empty slot in the internal reserves.

i.e. move them to the inside torpedo spot, and not directly into a torpedo tube or the u-boat itself. If you do it correctly, you should see a grey torpedo silhoutte. It will show the time to reload if you hover the mouse over it.
