stadimeter distance and PAto's bearing tool don't match

Hi

I have Pato's 360 degree plotting tool v3.0 3000m range installed.
I recently find out that measuring the distance with stadimeter does not match with the distance seen in PAto's mod.
For instance with stadimeter I measure 4000 meters but on the navigation map the ship enters 3000 meter range. I kill a lot if I count on the sadimeter distance and miss a lot on PAto's range so I believe the range in the bearing mod is inaccurate. Any idea?
