I voted 'other' because I don't get what "best" means.

I'm not sure comparing WWI submarines to SSBN's is really very productive at all

I'd love to see a restored WWI or WWII U-boat sail someday. That'd bring a tear of joy to my eye

Depends on the mission. As a Harpoon player, I like the Sierra for ASW, and an Oscar for ASuW. But as much as I think the Shipwreck is a, well, ship wrecker, I don't think 24 large proifile high atlitiude missles would have much luck hitting a carirer.

For me it’s the same as comparing WW2 fighters to the modern day jets. The prop plane fighters have so much more class and character. You could feel every vibration and hear the roar of your beautiful Merlin-Packard or maybe dig that P-38 with 1800 HP in each engine.. whoa!

Same with WWII subs. Sure the new stuff could easily kick their ass in a dual but it's just not the same. Maybe it's just me. It holds true for cars as well. Give me a 60's muscle car over a 400,000 dollar Ferrari any day. (Unless of course you would let me sell it so I can buy me some hot rods whoo!)

Basically any type of ship, aircraft, submarine and helicopter that was built between 1950 and 2015. The list of units that are not in the game is probably very short. There is also a WW2 database, but I don´t know how good it is.

Here´s the link to the Database Encyclopedia:

"Harpoon 3 Advanced Naval Warfare" (the multiplayer version), it should be out very soon. I play normal Harpoon 3.
