I like having the ingame music most of the time, but I'd like to be able to turn it off sometimes. Is there a way to do it while in the middle of a mission? I'm talking about the regular music, not the gramophone.

Go to options and select music "off"
lol, it's so simple but I didn't figure that one out for the longest time... but in the middle of a mission? Save and quit maybe? Turn it off and load it again.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong
![]() Just the 1.4b version I don't think you can turn it off during the mission ![]() I think before you leave port you can go to options menu sound and and set it to no music. or music on during mission.but I don't known of any switch to turn it on and off. during patrol. Rub has it set off. Sorry ![]() Lane ![]() |

Well that sucks, that's what I figured. I knew how to turn it on and off while at the main menu screen, but not while on patrol. Guess I'll just live with it. It ticks me off though, I like having the music in the background most of the time to break the silence, but if I'm in combat, trying to evade a destroyer or something I don't like having it on.

You can go into the data\sound\music folder and delete or remove the specific songs which are used for battle sequences. I think there's a config file in there that lists which songs are used for certain states. You can probably also add semi-colons ; in front of the specific line to turn off whichever music you do not want.

Not as good a fix as I'd like, but it looks like the best I'll get with this game. Thanks for the info.

I think your best bet is to turn music off in the main screen (it's boring and repetitive music anyway) and work with the gramaphone.
You can download the mod which has German WW2 era songs or even play your own MP3's (just add them to this folder - \data\Sound\Gramophone). You can then start or stop the music on your command. ________ Buy vapor tower Last edited by IRONxMortlock; 08-14-11 at 02:19 PM. |

Yeah I've been pretty hesitant on the gramophone. I just need to find some better songs. I dl'd a song pack from one of the download sites, but about 3/4 of the songs suck (in my opinion.) Just need to find some better ones then I'll be happy I guess.

I play no music in my patrols, if you guys wanna know... I like it because it's more "real" and "serious." I'm out at sea to sink some boats, not to listen to pop songs of the decade.
