Default KeyMap & Follow Nearest Contacts Commands

SetKeys is great!

I've got Shift+N for 'Follow Nearest Sound Contact' and Shift + B for 'follow Nearest Warship' and it works, but the sonar dude keeps on up-dating the first contact. How can you shut him up and re-assign to another contact, from nearest warship to nearest merchant for example? THX Budsurf

For a long time I've used SetKeys, and don't see any option to change/follow sound-contact of a 'merchant'. Just 'nearest' and 'warship' as you mentioned. There's just a limit of commands available in SH3 I guess, no fault of SetKeys.

Still I really enjoy this util, with about 25 custom shortcut key-commands. It's nice to press the numlock "/" key, and get a quick weather report Multiple commands (assigned to 1 key) are nice too.

Default Thanks!

Thx for the comeback Average Joe, I think I'll go with your weather report suggestion. Yes, I agree SeyKeys is a great program. Aloha from Hawaii. Budsurf

Here's a list of commands I use, so far. Started with 15 at first, then kept adding them as needed.

--snip--
SFT-Q = (WP) Target Nearest Ship
SFT-W = (WP) Identify Target
SFT-E = (WP) Compute Target

SFT-B = (WP) Target Recommended
CTL-SFT-Q = (WP) Target Nearest War-Ship
SFT-D = (WP) Report Damage
CTL-V = Report Nearest Visual Contact

CTL-SFT-A = Surface, Return-to-Course, periscope down, ahead-Standard speed.

Numlock / = Weather Report

SFT-TAB = Zoom-Out F5 Main Map view

CTL-X = Return to Course

W = Weapons Officer station (to open torpedo bay doors): W -is- default game key, 'Close Set Torpedo Tube'

CTL-R = Maximum Range at Current Speed (act. key-command ref. = 'Report Time to Turn')

CTL-T = Time to End of Course

CTL-E = Report both Max. Range at Current Speed + Range to End of Course

CTL-D = Get Depth Under Sub Keel

CTL-S = Propulsion-Standard

CTL-B = Propulsion Battery-Recharge mode
---snip---

SetKeys needs Microsoft's ".NET Framework Version 1.1" to run (MS filename: dotnetfx.exe), but it's worth it.

NET. Framework takes about 74MB of install space; of course on Drive-C, no other choice. But once SH3's 'Commands_en.cfg , or Commands_de.cfg are modded (about 25k each), then this big program can be un-installed again if preferred.

Many thanks for the list Avg.Joe, will prob'ly use many of them. Yes, the net framework is a large prog. but I've already had use of it for another application since using it with SetKeys. Thanks again and Aloha from Hawaii.
