Not looked for this for time, but is there any solution to having that crappy disk for a sun at all?
-I'm not running the latest video drivers from nvidia just now... -have atmosphere mod (no more wormhole woohoo!) gonna review all my mods installed soon when I get back to port- install latest HT mod and a few other bits. Sinking this one for good and all at this time would be great ![]() Anybody know?

I have the same problem jumpy and I hate it. Sometimes when I look away from the sun and look back, it looks like it should...very bright and realistic but then returns to the dull orange disk within seconds. I wonder if this will always be the case for us NVIDIA guys.

I had the same problem with the sun "disc" that would blink with these crazy lines running through it. Now that I'm using the 81.87 Nvidia drivers (6800 ultra OC) the sun looks excellent - well, like the sun should look. If you could just stare at it that is.

I put the latest driver on my nvidia 6800 in order to play FEAR and now when I play SH3 the crews heads look like they have been burned black. Seems like every time nvidia comes out with a new driver it hurts some portion another game.

![]() For me this is the only thing that lets SH3 down at the mo, having a rich-tea biscuit floating above the horizon really kills the atmosphere some days, so I have to go below and brood about the strange atmosphereic annomalies my boat and crew are experiencing lately. Is this some new tommy trick to confound navigation or something more inexplicable? Must remember not to visit the bar before giving my report to BdU- "Yes, Captain, a large plain biscuit, you say... in the sky?" -makes notes recommending a permanent shore job. All ahead full for the rich-tea patrol! ![]()

Wow, Jumpy - it's time to get those guys off the deck - they're getting sunburned to a crisp!
I had some weird issues with the 81.85 drivers (and yes I am loathe at times to put in a new Nvidia driver as to what can happen to my games) but the 81.87 has been very stable and a big improvement for SH3. I run at 2XAA and 4XAF. |
