Default Snorkel as a supercharger

I just inadvernatly found out that 1263 (snorkel) in the supercharger slot when editing your basic.cfg has some rather intresting, effects :rotfl:

Go edit your basic.cfg, and put a snorkel in the supercharger slot for an VIIB in 40 and 41.

Then go start up the Happy times mission in said boat. You should see some rather intresting behavior. Without even setting the engine to ahead slow or 1/3rd what happened was given time, the boat would just start moving faster.... and faster.. and faster and faster.

I beleive at around mach 1 i was well clear of the water. :rotfl:

That was me.

And uh... "Inserting the snorkel into the supercharger slot" sounds like a really, really juicy innuendo

I was messing around one evening, presetting some stuff in teh basic.cfg. One thing that irks me is having to spend renown on a supercharger when starting a new career, so i went about putting in 1261 (2nd super charger) in the appropriate slot, and on the VIIB i accidently typed in 1262. (which is the snorkel)

I was experimenting with putting type VIIC conning towers on a VIIB, and was using the happy times mission to view the results. Thats when i noticed some umm... wierd behavior in the VIIB, and i started undoing everything i did one by one until i had zeroed in on the offending modificaion.

Was really fun to watch.
