Default Question about not returning to port of origin.

Here's my situation:

I'm operating out of St. Nazaire, but have got into the Med' and want to fight there awhile, I'm running short of torpedos. Should I return to La Spezia, and if I do, should I collect my medals there? Can I? Can I re-arm in La Spezia without loseing renown/medals?

Clarification on hopw this works gratefully recieved, as well as guidance on which flotilla operates out of La Spezia.

You won't collect medals, promotions or renown there but you will get rearmed and be given a hot meal before being thrown back into the sea.

I haven't actually done this myself... I suppose this ends your patrol. So my question is.. do you recieve a new grid coordinate to patrol while on the return trip to your home base?

I had a specific problem (bug) trying to start a mission from La Spezia when it was not my home port. The game spawned my boat underneath a slab of concrete in the base, and not in the water.

If you want to try a visit to La Spezia, make sure to save before you before you head over there.

Lets assume I rearm, will I collect the renown and medals on returning to St Nazaire for the ships I sank prior to landing in La Spezia?

-The first answer: Yes.

This function the same as in milk cow mod (in truth the milk cow bases are the same as any other base than your home base). You shall use your crew's medal, promotion and qualifies where you are docked at (another base or a milk cow base) or you will lose them. But your renown, personal medals and credits (tonnage) will go with you and will stay there when you docked at home base, just look in the captains log or rank at home base...
