im new to this and maybe i sound stupid!!!!!!!but once i download a patch or an upgrade how do i get it off my desktop and install it to my game?please this is driving me daft!!!!!!!!!silent hunter is the business!!!!!!!!!cant wait for the big 4

Double-click the icon to start the patch installer program, then follow the instructions.

when i download the file to my desktop or documents how do i install it?i double click the icon and it does nothing!!!!!!!!!!i can extract the zip file and then it asks for a password???????then stops?i done 23 patrols got a transfer tp La Spezia and my first mission?????back through the bloody GAUNTLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!i made it out ok taking 2 destroyers on the way but on the way back where ever i surfaced!!!!!they were there waiting for me even tho i was silent running etc!!!!!!!needless to say they hounded me and the rest is history!46 dead!!!!!!!!!

Download the correct patch from:
http://www.silent-hunteriii.com/uk/updates.php

The official 1.4b patch is not a zip file, but an executable, just execute the file you downloaded. By double-ckicking for instance.

If you have downloaded a zip file then you have not downloaded the official patch, maybe you downloaded one of the many unofficial mods.

From what website did you dowload the zipfile that is giving you problems ?
