Default Naval type history help required

I'm after a favour, I'm working with a guy who's father was in the Royal Navy in WW2, is there a website where he can look up his father's history, he has his enlist number and other details?

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Send a private message to Kaptain or Xabbus and they might have the info you need to find that stuff out.

No idea if you can search a website or not but you can write to this address.

Victory View
Building 1/152
HM Naval Base

Thanks guys,

I was in work and couldn't really do any proper searching, I was hoping someone might just have had a link I could have passed on to my friend.

Does this mean anything to anybody:
On his father's papers it says, Name of Ship (Tenders to be inserted in brackets)
These are the names:

Royal Arthur Oct 1939
Victory Jan 1940
Excellent Feb 1940
Victory Feb 1940
President III Feb 1940
President III Aug 1942
President III April 1944

He was an able seaman then on to being a Petty Officer,
I'm suspecting these were not actual ships but types of ship, do you think he may have been on the merchants but still in the RN, I believe some RN sailors were on the merchants as gunners?

Any suggestions/help welcome.

Royal Arthur and President III are shore bases for certain, I suspect the other names listed are also shore bases.

Yeah thanks,

I did a bit of searching and found most of what might help my work mate.
You are right about the shore bases.
