diesel room error

hi guys just wondered if anyone knows if this is a error or im doing something wrong..

even though the diesel room is full of crew members when i try and give a speed command it do' nothing! and says there is not enough people to man the room!

eh? is this a bug? anyone else got this before?

Yes, it's a small bug. To work around it, just order 'slow back' for a second. Then everything will work again.

I had it -again- yesterday evening.

This is a separate bug I think. I don't think the 'no enough crew' message occurs with the bug you're talking about. All I can say is make sure the green bar is extended at least 3/4 of the way. Swap out crew or consider giving petty officers from a machinist qualification.

Regarding the bug you're talking about: The speed eventually does come up. In addition to ordering back slow first, if you manipulate the CEs controls directly, that also eliminated the problem.

Could be this related with the crew fatigue ???

Happened to me a couple of times too ... to fix it just dive to periscope depth and then surface again .... plus follow the well rested tips above too
