Default SH3 Commander start dates question.

I've got the new SHIII Commander installed along with RUB/Ops + a host
of other mods. Everything runs great.
I just went to start a new career:
Opened the Commander
checked "start new career"
chose random name
starting year shows availability any year from 1939 - 1945
I chose May/1944
confirmed my options
clicked on "Launch SHIII"
Commander reminds player to choose same year and Flotilla in game.
SHIII loads as normal but does not allow for 1944 or 1945 start years-last year available to start is 1943
This is my first attempt at starting a late war career. Am I doing something wrong here?

I did a search on this topic but nothing came up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which RUb are you using? Only 1.44 implements this feature. If you're using 1.43 or earlier it won't work. If you are using RUb 1.44, then some other mod must be replacing RUb's Flotilla.cfg file.

Beery,
I'm using RUB 1.44 with the new SH3 Commander.

Then, since you definitely don't have the latest RUb 1.44 Flotilla.cfg file you might want to try installing RUb again. The latest version is available here: http://www.beerymod.com/RUb1.44.7z.

Hi Beery
Ok, this is weird.
I downloaded the RUB link direct from your post
Using the mod enabler I disabled all mods down to vanilla SHIII w/ latest patch.
I deleted the original RUB 1.44 as it may have been a corrupted.
Installed the fresh RUB 1.44 mod.
The game is virgin except for patch & RUB only at this point.
Opened SH3 Commander and chose to start a fresh career in 1944
Launch SHIII
The same thing happened. Options to start career are 1939-1943
Then went to Beerymod.com & dl'd the flotilla 1.44 mod. (just to see what would happen)
I installed the Flotilla mod over RUB 1.44
The disclaimer about some flotilla files already modified by RUB came up.
I enabled the Flotilla 1.44 mod and started Commander. then launch SHIII.
Now 1944 & 45 are available.
Have no clue what that was all about but seems to be ok now.

Any idea what went wrong?
Anyway, thanks for the help. I'm glad your site had the flotilla stand alone available.

I'll download my own RUb 1.44 mod to see if there's an issue with the download.

Well, I checked it out. The Flotilla.cfg file in the download is definitely the right one - I checked 1st, 2nd and 7th Flotillas to make sure they have 1944 and 45 start dates and they do. I've no idea what could cause what you were seeing, but I guess it's fixed now so that's good.
