Default enhanced visibiliy mod Improved U boat

I am interested in the enhanced visibility mod, is it available as a stand alone mod? I am tempted to install the improved U-boat mod, but right now everyting is working very well and I dont want to take the chance that additional mods will cause problems. As far as improved U-boat mod is concerned, what has been the experience of people with regard to crashes and other problem? I am quite happy with the current graphics and sounds, and only want the enhanced visibility. Thanks! Joe S

I like the improved u boat mod but there are a few bugs. I understand there is a new version coming out in a few days, and I speculate that besides fixing the bugs, it might also include RUB 1.44. So perhaps it would be best to wait a few days before trying this out.

Let me say it again though. I like IUB quite a lot.

Yes, it's available as a stand alone. I have not tried the vis mod yet myself. There is more than one download link in there, and this may sound time consuming, but I recommend that you read the the entire 18 pages of the thread, or at least the last half or so. It is very interesting reading and informative about the mod and it will give you insight as to what the mod does. Or, perhaps it could be said to a lesser degree, attempts to do.

Yeah - I think the latest link on p18 that Jungman posted should be the one to get and will work as a standalone mod.

You can't just use only the sensors.DAT. You also need the sky/waterfiles made for visibility mod. You can get the from Ortegas original Visibility mod and then Jungmann has made a scene.dat file that makes the water clear. Nice if you want to "see" the torpedo and/or with the ocean_floor mod.
Look in the same thread!
