After his duty at the front, Hans Dreschler was a training officer in the 22nd and 27th flotillas. In 1955 Hans Dreschler joined the Bundesmarine, commanding the destroyer Z-2 and in 1966 becoming Chef des Marineamtes (chief of Navy department). He retired in 1972 as Konteradmiral and was highly decorated after the war with the Stern zum Großen Bundesverdienstkreuz (Star of the Great Federal Merit Cross).

You are indeed correct Beery. This is coming up in the next release, hopefully not too far off. Other enhancements will include...

-inserting the correct tonnage figures regardless of user's country
-further improvements to the Career Summary
-removal of the IC2 and Front Clasp from the Auto Fix routine (suggestions are still provided)
-ranks, medals, quals, Career Summary and Crew List now labeled in German or English based on user's game text preferences
-ability to select from a valid list of U-boat numbers by sub type and flotilla when changing the U-boat number

SH3 Commander can work quite subtly, but when you notice something from SH3 Commander that's not in the regular game it can be quite striking, especially in the most recent version that has all the new skins and date-based paint scheme changes. Does anyone have any of those 'Wow, that's cool!' moments?

If so, please tell us about them here. Although we know SH3 Commander is a popular mod, we don't tend to get a lot of feedback from users (I think perhaps most people who use it would rather use it than talk about it, LOL), so it would be good to hear some stories related to the mod. It might serve to explain the mod a bit better too for those who have been sitting on the fence, and perhaps get more people interested in trying it out.

Lost when engaging a convoy of 16 merchants, including a T3 tanker and troop transport. The convoy was protected by at least 2 destroyers and 1 corvette, possibly 2.
Ernst attempted to sneak round the back of the convoy to the opposite side protected by the destroyers. Unexpectedly he came across a corvette that alerted the other escorts. Having slipped past 3 escorts, the U-49 attempted to follow the convoy and this was its undoing. The boat was picked up again and lost due to flooding. So much for "Be more aggressive".
