Default Help Please: Games start paused.

HELP......

I do not know what I have done but any game I load, be it a saved patrol or even an academy training mission start with the game paused, a blank screen and zero time compression.

No matter what buttons I press, I cannot get the game to progress from the game paused and blank screen.

Does anyone know how to get round this?

Thanks

Go to your SH3/data/cfg folder in your My Documents directory and delete the save.tmp and replay.tmp files. You many also have to delete the main.cfg file, but I honestly can't remember. You can delete these files without causing damage to existing careers.

Thanks for your help Observer, but alas it would appear beyond repair and i have had to re- install; all saved files were corrupted.

That's odd. The "game paused" bug is caused by file mismatches. I've had it happen a couple of times when mucking around with things and never lost a career. I hope you didn't delete all of your save game files because it wasn't necessary. I've managed to "fix" the problem by deleting the files mentioned above. At worst case, just delete the entire contents of the SH3/data/cfg folder in your My Documents directory.

It was only one active career that was the loss. that career had been plagued with bugs and issues and probably was the cause, coupled with me wondering what the synchronisation option did.

Life is a learning exercise.
