Default News Flash!!! No Ice At Anarctica!!! Warring Powers Call...

... For An Immediate Ceasation Of Hostilities!!!

Dateline Nov 1944 - Radio reports intercepted from a German Uboat near the South Pole today has caused a panic throughout the world...

The crew of the U-103, commanded by Lieutenant Sr. Mike 'Red Ocktober' Hense... long range German TypeXXII submarine capable of extremely long range patrols... has radioed that they are sitting off the coast of Antarctica, and they can plainly see trees and lush vegetation on shore...

There are no signs of snow or ice anywhere in the region... no icebergs... nothing...

World scientist are aghast at the possibility that the unusual conditions at the pole may be the result of a rapid raise in global temperatures caused by the war...

The Fuhrer has announced an immediate truce has been signed with the Prime Minister Churchill of England, and the Emperor of Japan has offered a formal apology to Stalin... and a meeting with the President of the US is being planned...

These stunning events seem to be the beginings of a new era of World Peace and cooperation... with the immediate purpose of sending joint teams of scientists to the Pole to study this stunning phenomena...

more details in the evening broadcast...

this is Gabrial Heater... signing off.

*LOL* I'd have to check out that first before I call off a war, because as the 43rd Ferengi Rule of Aquisition says: "War is good for business."

yeah... my crew was so dissapointed, they're thinking of fast timing it back to Bergen... and finishing out the war fighting for the fatherland...

Brazil was nice... but too many Allied planes around... we at least thought we could get some skiing out of the way at the South Pole

Have you tried docking somewhere in Argentina? They're still neutral in this period of history. And they've got penguins, just like antactica - it's the best of both worlds!

*jumps on the bandwagon*

It was the iceage in the 70's that restored the ice. We're due for a nuclear winter, sometime soon. Bush has plans to nuke Iran and Mecca, so that'll reverse the global warming we've been doing since that last iceage.
