Default problem starting a new career mission

hey guys
i have the following problem
when i start a new miision (the mission loading-initializing) and when i must be at the command room the upper screen is black and there is a message saying "game paused". i tried everything
even i ve done format but problem remaining
any ideas how to fix that?
info
os win xp sp2
memory 1200 mb
video card nvidia gf fx 6600 256 mb
cpu p4 2.8

I've got the same Problem, I think the only way out is to do A clean re-install, unfortunately -Nightowl
(That's why I'm onshore getting drunk)

Default

After you have uninstalled SH3 you should manually delete the main SH3 dir. It could be that parts of a mod are still in there.
