Default Just bought SHIII.....

got home, dropped it in the cd tray.......and nothing. My computer, D drive - empty. Hmmmm. Drop in CFS3 cd, starts right up. Hmmmm. Try SHIII again. Nada. Hmmmm. Reboot. Same same. HMMMMMMM!!!!!. CD looks OK, cd drive seems to be working OK, do I have a disk with nuttin on it? Is it one of those super-secret-grand-prize-winning cd's? Or some factory workers idea of a joke ("Nyuk, hey Clem I'd like tuh see thuh look on this fellers fayce whin he trahs tuh run this hyar game....")?

I am running CFS3, DW, COD and numerous other high end games with no problems. I have never experienced such picky behavior from my cd drive before. In this instance, it's being pickier than my kids at dinner time, and over something nearly as important!!!!!!

I have been in touch with tech support at Ubi, but don't want to wait the possible 24 hours for their response. Hoping someone here can help me sooner!!!!

I'm dying here!!!!!

Thanks,

C.

Tried the disk on my wifes laptop, seem to work ok, so it's an issue in my machine. Don't know whetehr to be relieved or not! Will try reinstalling drivers, etc.

Upgrade the firmware of your DVD drive, that could help. Also check if other DVD´s can be read.
