Hey all,
I was just playing another patrol and every once in a while I run into this problem and I dont know why it happends or what causes it. I get inside a port and line up for a torpedo attack at a docked ship. Lets say the ships sturn its on 000, but I want to hit a forward compartment of the ship so i move the scope over to 010. I fire the torp but instead of turning to 010 it heads off at 357 or 000 or something and totally misses the ship. If I fire another torp at like 050 or a larger angle the torp will turn fine. What Gives? Thanks, Wolfy

Thats just the thing, im not adding any target data to the notepad since im aiming at non moving docked ships. I just aim the scope and fire on that bearing yet they dont go where I aim them... ?
possibly it might have been setup for another ship? Before I got to the port I was adding data the the notepad to do a torpedo attack on another ship but decided to cancle it because its renown was low. I remember the notepad was cleared before I shot at the docked ships and I fired like 3 torpedos at around 010 and they went on corse 000 or something around there. Wolfy

I'd double-check to see that the TDC (F6) dials are agreeing with your notepad...then you'll know for sure that the datapoints that Spin Doctor mentioned are good.
I don't even use the notepad to control the TDC, I just keep the TDC dials on manual control. You could try this and still use the notepad to calculate the pieces of data if you wanted to.
