I've been playing SHIII since the day after it was released. Been through a dozen plus campaings, but always died before war's end (play full realism - veteran of SHII - but with external cam on, it's just so much fun).
But, now, April 12th 1945, heading out of Bergen, assigned grid DO73 on patrol number 40, we will surely not see home again (hey, the war ends in less than one month). In a type IXb, with 39 patrols under out belt, we've sunk over 1.5 million tons (including 2 Nelson class BB's in a bizarre patrol a few months back, game time), and over 30 aircraft. I just hope the weather turns downright nasty, else I fear we won't even get into the open Atlantic. This is my best campaign by far, not just the longest, but tonnage-wise my best - now to not get the crew killed off before the end. Of course, then to try a Med campaign - I've yet to do that. |

Good work
![]() I tried playing in the Med, but left after 3 patrols. You might need to change the files to increase traffic there. |
