Default Ever had this happen to you?... (I Hope Not)

There I am , just ready to Head back to Homeport to end my 11th Patrol when I have a real electrical Storm here at the house and... you guessed it, --the Power went out... So when it came back on, I rebooted my computer, and what the heck, shouldn't be a problem , luckily I had just saved my game a minute before the power outage, but when I reloaded the game, all I can get is a 'Game Paused' and I cannot get beyond that, no matter if it's a career or a single game, whether it's a saved game or starting a new one from scratch... Is there any hope for me to get by this without re-installing the game?? -Nightowl

Yes I Have, well sorta,

You don't happen to be useing the AIL INTERFACE MOD v1.0 do you? I was useing that mod and changed some realism settings. After I did every time I tryed to play the game right when it loaded into the command room it would have game paused and would not let me unpause it. Only way I found to solve the problem was a total clean re-install. Even disableing the mod didnt help

Since your PC went out with the power, Open up you MY COMPUTER window. For each hard drive listed, right click on it and select PROPERTIES. There, you'll find a TOOLS tab. Under the TOOLS tab, there's an ERROR CHECKING utility that can determine if any damage was done to your hard drive(s) when the power failed. Run it and pray. Often, it can fix the problems.

Thanks for the info Avon Lady, but it came up 'No Damage' , so it looks like I will have to re-install and I do have a Power back-up, but unfortunately the battery must be almost dead, cause it didn't hold, so I need to buy a new one It could be worse, I had no hurricane damage! I have nothing to complain about... -Nightowl
