Renown, win it or lose it?

Hi guys.

I assume that to gain "renown" you must sink as many ships as possible but are there any other things you can do to gain more of it.

Similarly, are there things you can do which will lose you "renown"?

I await the gems of knowledge from the SubSim experts.

nice list, now I know what ships NOT to waste my ammo on - I wasted my last 2 fish on a tribal destroyer, when I had 2 C2's and a T3 (all at rest) spotted later that mission
