SH3 Commander Rollback Question

Can somebody explain to me in clear terms what exactly the 'rollback' option in SH3 Commander does?

It takes out all the files that SH3 Commander put in the game. It's like an 'uninstall' button.

One more question: Will any ranks, medals, etc. that were added manually through SH3 Commander be removed after rollback?

No. They will stay. The things you change in the crew management window are permanent. You can always reverse them manually. The rollback only removes the temporary files that SH3 Commander loads into the game based on your flotilla, U-boat and date settings.
