In my opinion SH3 has been an entertainment bargain. I've had many hours of fun and excitement playing SH3 since it came out. Of course, it helps that I enjoy these kinds of simulators. In fact, if SH3 has a negative it is that a decent session takes at least a couple of hours.

Whew I thought there for a minute I would have to twist your arm.

SH3 is far better than SH2 ever even thought of being.

Read a bunch of the post here at Subsim and you'll kick yourself if you don't buy it.

No joke I think it is teriffic,

But you need the basic mods to make the experience perfect.I am almost sure that Kapitain wants to go for the realism? In that case all you need to start is the last official patch from UBI,the latest RUB 1.43 mod and the Commander mod 1.43.You can get them here http://mpgtext.net/u-boot/index.php?...id=5&Itemid=42 .Read the readmes carefully and ENJOY

Hi Kapitain,

I play DW myself. Had the game a couple if weeks before SHIII arrive. Also have 688(i) and Sub Command. They are both great games. Though both are subsims they are very different from each other. I enjoy DW in that it's more like a very high tech game of chess. And SHIII ... well, i've always been a big WWII genre fan and the game does a lot to bring you back in time. Sitting at my computer listening to the WWII radio mod on the gramaphone really does a lot to immersion. It's both simply and more challenging to play at the same time. Simple because you have less to worry about in terms of sonar modelling, TMA, weapons platforms etc. and more challenging because of the nature of the war itself and cetain limitations of the old U Boats.

I recommend you go out and buy it as soon as possible

Kapitain, yes, it`s totally worth buying! Even without any mods, it`s a great game! But when you apply the RuB and SHIII Commander mods, it`s a great game x 10

I did the Pre-Order buy (A first for any game I've bought). Over all even with the problems SH3 has it was still a good buy. Many of the problems have been modded or a work around has been found.

I'm not real happy with UBI-Soft dropping SH3 after the 1.4b patch as there seem to be a few things that are Hard Coded that need to be fixed. Even so, SH3 is still the best Sub-sim that's ever been released to date.

I doubt I'll Pre-Order SH4 though, I think I'll wait until I see a few reports on it here before I buy it.
