Not really. If you hear them I would say, after also reading your "flying saucer" post you should either go to bed or take your medication!

Do you, by any chance, live near the coast...? Perhaps?

Sure you don't have any trapped inside the conning tower?

I had a similar problem. Does the sound seem to cycle?

I find that time compression in the radio room was making certain sounds get 'stuck'. I find myself wondering if the problem doesn't explain the weird sounds people were posting about the other day (I had a repeated banging-scraping that I figured out was part of the hull sounds of being at depth -- stuck, and cycling ever four or five seconds). Unlike most sounds, this will be audible in the sonar station ('h') no matter which way you're looking.

Is this it?

The sounds were definitly seagulls.... possible glitch after time compression dive maybe?

Do you sometimes Alt-Tab out of the game and back? I've found that this messes up the sound. For example I hear the surface ocean sprays when using the hydrophones and other 'out of place' sounds.

Yes, I can verify that happens to me too. Sometimes changing stations fixes the baskground sounds, but mostly doesnt work.

ahhh..... it was probably the alt-tab. I've done this quite a bit, but first time I noticed the gulls in the hull.

OKay.... I'm convinced nothing is wrong with my install.

Thanks.

Gorilliamos, I hear seagulls all the time! I just hate it when they drown out all the other voices in my head.
