I wish I could attempt to transit the Bosporus submerged. That's as shallow as they get. I always wanted to try that since I read Patrick Robinson's "Nimitz Class".

I am working on an idea for a scenario with narrowish straits and a channel through ice.

Anyone know such area/s ?

Canadians and Ruskies - help.

Aarrrrgh... there's a lake near here where the seaweed is so thick it's like sailin' through clay. I've clogged many a jet-ski intake in that thar lake. 'Tis no place for submarines though... Arrrgh...

Straits of Malacca are very narrow, still home to lots of pirate activity, and once you make the transit successfully, has some nice liberty ports for your crew in Thailand!
