It seems the only way to know if a merchant is armed is if they shoot at you. When I use the F10 view to get a close up of the ship, you cannot see guns.
Is there anything I am missing? Thanks.

Anyone remember the answer to this question?
Thanks.

I never got past the early part of the war, so I never saw any armed ones. If there were such, I suppose the quickest way to find out would be to approach them on the surface, which I wouldn't do after 1942 anyway.

Playing the "command " version, the "victim wiew" sometimes gives you the right answer, as guns are often visible that way.
By the same way I once discovered a q-ship, with a gun concealed in a sort of container (badly closed, wen I saw the ship). Most of troop ships have one or two guns, but some of them seem totally unable to fire (maybe an opposite kind of ruse...) I'm really happy to have something useful to say, after months I was disappeared. |
