Game Saves Are Missing HELP!

Hello Subsim Community .... I just got back into playing SH3 after Buying this game nearly 20yrs ago now....I have installed the GWX onealex edition 1.53....I am having issues with my game saves in career mode where after some time playing they go missing & i cannot resume my career & also in the single missions ....the screen is blank & there are no single missions to play?? what is wrong Here ?? .... once inside the game The slide-out tool-tabs on the lefthand side of the screen some of them to go to the different stations on the u-boat I cannot access with the mouse pointer & some of the stations i can ..... could this be a corrupt install I wonder ?? .... I was able to download onealex off the discord & everything seemed to install correctly using Abulia's install tutorial on youtube I followed step by step....HELP would be appreciated.
