Default Attack Periscope Less Dark for GWX KC

Makes the image of attack periscope 30% less dark. It is still dark but not that much. It can be used with the graticule change mod (in the screenshots)

Download it here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/co4lt...s_Dark.7z/file

Cheers!

We appreciate your enthusiasm, Kirienko

Please be aware that an update for GWX KC v1.0 has been in progress for several weeks. As part of that update, several of the aspects of KC you're modding were already implemented by us as fixes, modifications or optional mods, based on player feedback we've been assessing since the first day of release two weeks ago.

Not saying you've done anything wrong at all - but I just thought I should let you know in case you'd now prefer to wait and see what's in the update when it's released before you consider spending time and effort on further mods for GWX KC.

Thanks for the heads up VikingGrandad. GWX KC is already impressive and I am glad to hear that is going to be even better, great job guys.

Feel free to use anything I have done if you find it of use in your next releases.

Cheers.

Another big thank you for this. I cannot see ANYTHING at night, using the attack periscope or the night periscope. Can’t even see the bow of the Uboat from the bridge.

I understand the realistic simulation but this is a game after all…

If you cannot see anything at night (even with minimal / light cloud?) with the night periscope, then Kirienko's mod for the attack scope is not going to make any useful difference for you. Even with that mod enabled, the attack scope will still have lower light emission than the night scope.

The night scope in GWX KC is set up to allow 85% light emission into the scope viewport, not much less than the UZO and binoculars (99%). So, if you can't even see the bow of your boat with the night scope, I'd strongly suggest that your screen's brightness and contrast settings need to be adjusted.

Well, he said he could not see the bow of the Uboat from the bridge at night so I don't really think he was implying this mod helped with that, I understood all that just like a general comment about his issues with visibility.

Cheers

Ah yes, fair point! I mis-read what Keesh said.

Well, just to clarify, nights with heavy cloud should be very dark - as there's no source of light. Nights with lighter cloud will be less dark and should give decent visibility - unless a player's screen brightness control is set very dark.
