Crash logs

Is there anywhere to see the crash logs? Game was working fine with the mods a day ago and tried to launch today and the game crashes once the mission loads. Currently running GWX Onealex edition.

Crashed at loading a mission or a save game?

Pretty much both I tried loading a single mission to see if it was my career got corrupted but they also fail once the red bar gets full and it tries to transition from the loading screen to the actual game.

I had a Windows Update the other day that altered my settings on the SH3.exe file, and I had to re-do all the "Compatibility" settings and screen scaling stuff to get the game to go beyond the menu. Anything 3D would "crash" when loading. Re-set things and I was fine. Otherwise, something seemingly corrupted your Save. Are you Saving on top of the same Save? Or do you Save with a new name each time, and do "housekeeping" as you go - which is the recommended method. ??

Typically make a new save each time what do you mean by housekeeping though out of curiosity. But as far as the first part about the windows update I double checked mine they're still set up the same just confused as to why it doesn't matter if it's in campaign mode or single missions it crashes.

Well found out some more info I redid a completely fresh install it will work up until 1940. After 1940 is I try to dock and leave it just crashes.

Yeah as far as I can tell even with no additional mods running anything loading after 1940 instantly crashes to desktop when trying to load into a patrol. If anyone has any ideas I'm willing to give it a try.

Do you delete before the reinstallation all files and profile files of SH3?

Which OS do you use and do you try compatibility mode for the .exe files?

You can also try with MultiSH3 on current or on new user a second SH3 profile.
Another idea is, to create as test a new user on the OS and test SH3 with this new one.

And yes, it is a really strange issue... Maybe you can try, if possible, to install it on another PC. I'm sure, that this issue came from your PC and not from the game.
