By shadow do you mean each individual object has its own shadow setting???
When you are trying to identify a flag in broad daylight and can see the flag when sun is at your back but its too dark when sun is in your face and its in shadow is an issue.Is it possible to remove shadow effects just from flag? |

Seems not to me…anyway the dynamic shadow cast controller inside doesn’t work fine in SH3

There were several discussions here on this forum (you may find them with the search function).
The "real" shadows (don't confuse with the ambiant light which simulates shadow in conjunction with direct sun light) have been deactivated by the devs, probably because they don't work correctly. So, all SHD nodes are useless and could be deleted in any file (and this can save a lot of memory). |

Flags in the game do not have any attributes (elements) for creation of a shadow.
