applied gwx 3 + mods but stuck on old game interface

Hello


Reinstalled SH3 from CD (I got the starforce free edition)
Then applied the following mods :


GMX 3.0 Gold (downloaded from their website)
Thomsen Sound Pack
SH4 Effects GWX
Raptor's Uniforms Grey + Leather
Rubini Underwater
MEP v6
FixAllSubGWX
ARB Wide GUI 3.1


My problem is... my screen is still showing the basic game interface.


When I go on YouTube and check other's people videos with GWX 3 they have a totally different interface. On their map you can see tools on the lower right... Which I absolutely do not have.


Checked WolfPack videos. He lists mods. Seems I got something close, but I still have the basic game interface so I dont know what is wrong.


How do you get that new GUI interface ?!

My ARB doesnt seem to work at all I dont get the wide GUI interface I can see on videos.

Hmmm.... 2 things, come to mind.


1. That you have SH3 installed in C:\Program files ... or C:\Program files (x86) ... which is NOT where you want to have it installed.... EVER.


Installing your SH3 here... is asking for loads of trouble, as Windows, will NOT allow for changes to be made to anything installed in those areas... EVEN if you tell it that such changes CAN be done.



Or...



2. In the install process, you forgot to go into the SH3.exe 'properties' & uncheck the 'Read only' option.


Leaving it 'Read only', keeps the changes needed & necessary, from being unable to be done by the mod/s or the mod set that you want to use.




Hope that this... helps... as always.
