Windows 10?
Also, why does a 15 year old game take 5 minutes to load with faster CPUs, memory cache, and SSD? Thank.

One big difference between SH3 and SH4 is that SH3 loads EVERYTHING when you start the game. The bigger the mod, the longer the loading time - generally speaking. SH4 has "dynamic loading", where it only loads what it is using... even still though, the games are for all practical purposes, "relics" to the computing world (aka: "legacy"), having been written during the WinXP days, which can also play havoc with the game if you do happen to "shell-out" to Windows while the game is running. Some folks never have a bit of trouble doing that, while others (different computers) will encounter all manner of graphic and sound anomalies when coming back into the game. About the only way to "speed" loading is to throw hardware at the game, with an SSD being the most practical choice, but since you already have that... I dream of a day when there will be world peace, and a new, "latest-greatest" sub sim that does it all. Pacific, Atlantic, US, UK, German, Japanese, etc. WWI, WWII, Korea, Nukes, etc... Aerosmith wrote a song about that... first album, 3rd song, 1st side... lol
