![]() there are a number of reasons for this error to occur. the first is: to where did you install SH4? if you used the default folder that UBI's installation process presented to you, then you need to stop, un-install and then reinstall to a unique folder that is NOT in one of the Windows folders. for example you could create and use this folder: C:\Ubisoft\SilentHunter4 next, you should check out this link for more newbie info. can't stress this one enough. lots of gold to mined here. https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...d.php?t=219029 Good Luck. Keep at it. ![]()

In either case though, after you activate a mod, or a new mod collection, you generally MUST delete the current Save data folder, which defaults to "C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH4", unless you use MultiSH4 to change the Save data folder name. But you should still empty the Save folder, which then allows the game to rebuild that data, which is then used to run the game. If you do not empty the folder, the game will not overwrite any already existing filenames, and you then end up with a mix of the stock game, and the modded game, which then does not run correctly, nor does it Save correctly. ![]()
