Found out I had family that fought for the Central Powers (Austria-Hungary) and was captured by the Russians in 1915? Was interned in Russia and had to walk home after the War from Russia. Apparently, (on my Dad's side of the family) the 2 families didn't get along, so all of that info was lost and/or never talked about.

In the original poem, its "blow".

But when it became popular some printed versions had "grow".

It's over 100 years old, and language changes with time, and I guess "grow" became the accepted version.
