So, as the title states, I have problems with there being no sound in SH3. Like none at all, nothing during the intro, in any menu or in game.
I've made a post about this before and wasn't able to resolve anything then, but I've now decided to take another proper crack at playing this game and have encountered the exact same issue. Any help or insight would be much appreciated as it has now been two years since I first started dreaming about captaining my very own submarine in SH3! Basic info: Own the game through Steam Version 1.4b I use Windows 10 Have installed SH3 Commander and GWX 3.0 (there is no sound in vanilla either) Have applied the 4gb patch I run the game in Win 7 compatibility with administrator rights I can't think of any more relevant information but post a reply with a request for a piece of information and I will provide. Anything that will move me closer to resolving this issue once and for all! Thanks in advance! |

What do you have your Windows Sound set to? Frequency rate and bit-depth matter. Do System Sounds play?

In the properties for my headphones it says that I have it set to 16 bits, 48000 Hz (DVD-Quality). I can hear all other sounds on the computer and I have made sure that I haven't just muted the game in the sound panel.

Please. If anyone has any idea, no matter how obvious it seems to you, it would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I'm just a noob but, the only difference I can see between you're set up and mine is that I have mine set to Windows XP service pack 2. I also have the Disable Full Screen Optimizations box un-ticked. Best of luck.

I use 24 bits 44100 hz I have no problem elsewhere I have already tried 48,000 hz and 96,000 hz it works ... ![]() I am looking for a pilot problem .. or a system settings ... do you use 7.1 headphones or a specific sound card? or maybe your codecs are not up to date is check your system drivers to see if there is an anomaly ... I have already had problems on ARMA III ![]() ![]() ![]() |
