Unsinkable Ark Royal Carrier???

Yesterday I found the Ark Royal as part of a Task Force... Fired a spread of 3 torps and all of them made a clean impact. It decreased speed to 2-3 knots for about 10 minutes, time when I shot a 4th eel that also made impact.

However, it took off at high speed after that time as if nothing happened. It listed to the side of the impacts but that's all happened. It was impossible for me to follow because I had no more torps and no way I could catch up at that ferocious pace. I checked using the external camera and the were no impact textures on the hull... Is this normal? Any possible explanations?
