Unknown error when starting mission with Dark Waters mod

Hello everyone. Whenever I start a mission with the Dark Waters mod (only the base mod), the game freezes after loading. Sometimes there is no message, but most times I get a message with "Unknown error". After I close it is sometimes followed by a message titled "Path" to the path of Volumetric Fog, and sometimes popups titled "DepthRendering - unknow error".
If anybody had any insight to what is causing this, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to uncheck the read only box in exe properties, and apply the LAA application to give more RAM to the game!

if you are playing DW, you definitely need LAA or similar tool.
