Hi Guys,
Just a quick one (couldn't find a thread here): I came across a unescorted outbound Standard Tanker, in September 1940, in BE36. It was identified as a regular/loaded Standard Tanker but actually was an empty Standard Tanker. I tried to sink the tanker three different times (loaded a past game save), two times with a torpedo and the deck gun and once with just the deck gun. The tanker actually did sink each time but the tonnage was never recorded in the log, there also was no message that the target had been destroyed and also, no "sunk ship" icon on the map view (F5). Just before that, I attacked on outbound convoy in the same area, without any issues. I using CCoM10.0. You guys have any ideas?

Not in Ccom, but in NYGM, i already had no sunk icon and no sunk message...but always the tonnage record in log book.
Don’t know what could interfere with such thing ![]()

UPDATE: I know caught up with the convoy again and was able to sink 2 more steamers. This time, all is normal again, i.e., the tonnage is recorded in the log, there also was a message that the target had been destroyed and also, the "sunk ship" icons are on the map view (F5).
It must be something about that one particular tanker, that is scripted into the game, that makes it possible to sink it but that the sinking is not counted ...

Interesting! I will check that and look for any "abnormalties" ...

Possible cause: This issue occurs if you happen to sink the exact same ship (same tonnage) twice. So you sink it once, then a bit later the game re-spawns it but won't register the 2nd sinking.

I attacked a convoy and sunk a Standard Tanker with 8229 ts, on 25 Sept., 09:02h. The convoy moved on and I stopped to reload torpedoes. At 2203h, a Standard Tanker came along, on the same heading and speed as the convoy (I assumed, a straggler). After I reloaded the torpedoes, I chased the convoy and first came along the same Standard Tanker, on 26 Sept., 12:30h, and sank him with the deck gun. The tonnage was not recorded. According to the ship recognition book, the tanker has 8054 ts. At 14:15h, I made contact with the convoy again and sank a couple more merchants during the evening, the tonnage being counted.

I will not create a separate topic because. what is my question about ship sinking icons.
I do not have marks of downed planes on F5. Where do I need to fix? ![]()
