I installed SH4 from my CD, installed the 1.4 official patch and attempted to run the game. I had to run a Large Address Aware program on the exe file and then the game ran fine. Next I proceeded to install the 1.5 patch. Everything went relatively smoothly until the game asked for the serial number. It didn't like it and spits out the "Unexpected Error (13:6). This is where the fun really began. I contacted Ubi since I had the original receipt. They said "no problem" we'll let you download the updated game. All they gave me was 1.4. Now, thoroughly disgusted, I decided to Google the Error 13:6. That is how I found the fix. Look at this: https://uk.gamesplanet.com/support/1...ges-protection I followed exactly what it said to do and the problem was solved.
