Default Chlorine gas

Am I correct in believing this is not modeled in SH3 ?

Good news though, you can simulate this in real time while playing the game, all you need is a old battery and some salt water.

Ha !

Unfortunate that it's not in the game though. So many basic things left out of it.

John,

The best that can be done is by yourself, i.e. when you have flooding in the battery compartments, focus repairs on that area. I have come out of silent running to pump and repair those compartments to simulate that.

Yeah I know. I do the same thing. But when the batteries are that damaged, chlorine gas should be a problem too.
Usually that meant abandoning the boat asap.

As is, one can just repair the batteries and continue on their merry way. I guess I need to start playing that way instead; if batteries will take x hours to repair, they're leaking gas too, abandon boat, etc.

Add it to my list of self-imposed rules <g>
