The problem with the bearing tool/over lay is that it moves, and it is hard to draw a line on a bearing when it is in motion. Could a stationary bearing tool be modded? Or a protractor tool that has the bearing instead of 0-180 from north.
Even better would be bearing lines drawn on the map automatically. They update every 1-5 minutes and are are deleted after a time. If you want to keep one, draw your own line over it. I'm betting it's not possible. |

When in the NavMap view, click on the little green magnetic bearing compass drawing down by the tools, which is what activates your tools' "options". See if the ruler doesn't now become an upside-down drawing compass that helps with what you are after... even your WayPoint drawer becomes a minature drawing compass...

Thank you. I was just hoping to avoid bearing to course translations.
If I knew how to mod, I would make automatic lines drawn for all contacts at regular intervals that are erased after a while. |

That's even easier, the sonar dial and TDC display both show relative and true bearings.
![]() TDC is the easiest, since you're looking at that already. Top dial shows the target's true heading and relative heading too. |
