Hi all for the last couple of weeks i have been editing Jhapprich's typhoon.
And while i am not planning on releasing this version if there is enough interest i'll ask the permissions to do so. What i have changed:
The bow planes retract when you load a previous saved game, this is because of the engine. What i changed is that they no longer retract. Since you are 95% of the time underwater i thought this would be a nice fix. This is a typhoon for the US side, so i named the Archangel in reference to the TK-17 Arkhangelsk Enough with the talk ![]() ![]() Jhapprich your feedback would also be much appreciated. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

it will replace your current typhoon, however if someone only wants the skin they can just take the files needed and add it to there existing mod.

By the looks of what is improved (ie. 64x scope, etc) I'd probably just replace the Typhoon.

A question, Marka Ragnos. Were you able to get Typhoon's Surface/Air Radar or RWR to work? In my experience, the regular Typhoon (Typhoon Standalone Beta 0.75) does not. For example, I would get Hydrophone contact and visual sighted aircraft even though my Radar is on continuous sweep so i should, theoretically, be seeing them on Radar first before Hydrophone or Visuals would be able to pick them up. I have also noticed that viewing the distance radar console the Radar "wave" is all the way near the top of the display instead of in the middle like in other vessels. On the Bearing radar console(A-Scope), the tracking "needle" is stuck at 0 degrees instead of sweeping like it should. And yes, I've made sure that "continuous sweep" is enabled each time i view those two consoles. EDIT: nvm got it to work, just had to modify the upc files for both the sub and the conning tower related to the Radar and now the Surface Search Radar works properly Last edited by York2016; 08-07-15 at 05:37 PM. |

I know it has been awhile since you were talking about releasing the new mod for the Typhoon I am highly interested in it and will pay if necessary
