Greenhorn Woes...

So picked the game up on steam summer sale. Jump right into the game without fully understanding the UI or mechanics (hey, it worked on SH3 right???). Well, order a dive to periscope depth and start patrolling off the east coast of England. I notice that I'm getting water in the boat. Turn on pumps and they dont seem to help. Bail water to the command room. No dice. So I hop in first person and notice a sound of rushing water. I look up the conning tower and hans apparently left the exterior hatch open....

By the time I notice this, my boat is sitting on the ocean floor and every compartment has a substantial amount of water. Took several hours to dry it out and resurface with about 5% compressed air left.

Now i check hatches every time i dive. LOL
