A drive-by shooting early Saturday left three men injured just outside an elementary school in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, authorities said.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Pomona and Bayview streets, about 300-feet from Charles R. Drew Elementary School, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

The victims — three men aged 26, 30 and 38 — were standing outside a house when a passing motorist fired multiple shots, police said.

Between the lines in the text, it sounds like a criminal settlement.

Inflammatory claptrap. This is exactly like Golden Rivet's comment in the 'Moral Crisis' thread.

The reality: Drive by shooting (almost certainly gang-related) outside a house at 01:00 in the morning happens to also be near an elementary school.

The report: Shooting takes place by elementary school!

Looks like an attempt to build it up as another "school shooting".

as is the problem with today's media. spin spin spin

the end user has to read between the lines and do so much research to validate what they are reading and most aren't willing to do all that leg work so they read the first source they come across and take it at face value and suddenly everyone is talking about that "school shooting" that happened when one person who had nothing to do with the school shot at another person who had nothing to do with the school, and the shooting happened somewhere in the vicinity of a school only hours before students were set to begin class

the american media no longer reports fact, its all sensationalized.

the fact that it happened in California and not Kansas is nearly enough merit to justify the headline "Violent shootout in close proximity to Disney Land theme park!"

there are two types of people, those who tend to avoid the BS, and those who seem to enjoy playing in it.

We should expect more sensationalized news stories from those that are pursuing an agenda. It's good to know people like our members that commented, see new stories like this for what they are. I would think the media and others would make better use of their time and implement strategies to keeping kids safe in school.
