Don't ask me of the prospects, I dare no assessment of the chnaces. But that Egypt and Saudi Arabia even seem to consider this, shows how much Realpolitik has entered the organization of diplomatic cnditoons in the ME - even with Israel.
The biggest threats are the Palestinian arabs themselves, and the Iranians. The Arabs will to quite some degree refuse to no longe rlive in ruvbble and dirt, for purely ideolgoical reaosns and reasons of stubborness. The Iranians will try to torpedoe this deal since their claim of how much importance the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict has , offers them one of their big sticks they swing around with in their foreign political agenda. Europe will find itself in a most embarrassing position, if this deal materialises for real. First because it would be a slap into the face of the two-state dogmatists and pro-Islamophiles in Brussel, and second it would be becasue it was especially Trump who could with this deal land the biggest coup in whole American ME policy since many decades. Bot translated. Surprisingly good. Not flawless, but surprisingly good. Google must have done some magic there. https://translate.google.fi/translat...html&sandbox=1

^ Israel is as well palestinian as jewish country. That Israel claims it all for itself will never be a real solution.
Before Israel was founded as a new nation after WW2, there were thoughts of jews settling in Ethopia, or other african states. You saw how that went. Stubborness and religious motives are not only especially palestinian attitudes.

I doubt there will ever be a solution that both sides can agree to.

If the Arabs were to lay down their weapons tomorrow there would be peace.
If the Israelis were to lay down their weapons tomorrow there would be no Isreal. And that really tells the important story of the middle east.

There could have been peace since years and decades. The Palestinian Arabs, most of them being foreigners in that place themselves, always refused it. Most of them have no real historic claim for that land. Honstely said, i could not care any less anymore for what the Palestinian Arabs want. My patience has been completely consumed. Ther eis far, far more dangerous stuff going on the ME, the Isralei-Palesitnian confplict never was a really important one anyway, it just get blown up in importance by interested propagandists. The real dangers lie in the Sunni-Shia civil war, the looming nuclear arms race, the alienation of mainstream (=orhtodoy!) Islam from the corrupt polticla elites, and the course plotted by Turkey to estalbish itself as new leader and speaker of all Muslim world. Sorry, the Palestinians are not half as important as some people claim them to be. Not even a quarter as important. Not even that. And I say again: Most Palestinian arabs today are strangers or stem from foreign families in that place since the mid-60s. It reminds a bit of the Kosovo, which was predominantly Serb until the war in the 90s. Then the West enforced the loss of the Kosovo to Serbia, and oepned it for Albanians that now moved in in huge numbers. Where before Albanians were a minority, they are the most dmionat majority. And this majpoirty now is taken as an excuse for claiming that Kosovo was the Albanians. That is absurd. Worse: Kosovo is not soveirgn, and is unfiot to survive by its own, has no induistrial potency to maintain itself in any way, it is an intellectually planned, ideologically enforced and hypocritically wanted stillbirth and will never be anything else than this, a dead torso hanging on foreign life support machines. And the European employees and workers are demanded to pay for its maintenance year in, year out, with their own wages they have to work for. Arab Palestine compares. The EU, not he Arab states, pay the bills of Palestinians. The Arab states' interest is close to zero. I know form own expeirnce in the palces that Arabs tend to look down on Palestinians, do not trust them, and despise them pretty much. Nobody wants to have anythign to do with them. Everyboy is on his guard agaiunst them. Just the Europeans once again know evertyhing better. They cannot come to terms even with their own likes, but know how to rewrite a millenia and longer of history. Bigmouths.

I wonder how many of those Palestinians, who came to the region after 1960 left it pre 1960, for example due to certain events occuring 1945-1960.
