Changing direction to further TMA

In Dangerous Waters, one could help the TMA solution by changing the subs aspect to the target. Is this modeled in Cold Waters?

For example, if I am trying to build up a TMA solution of a target does it help to change course and depth? Let's assume there is no layer and it does not play a role in this situation.
