Icon7 My School Survey about Generations

Hi everyone. I'm in my final year of High School and for my major project in my Society & Culture elective, I need to conduct a questionnaire as part of my primary research. My questionnaire and research is based on how generations (such as Baby Boomers, Gen X etc) do not necessarily represent the traits a certain age group may have. Basically, my research and questionnaire are aiming to suggest how generations are not "set in stone" and how they may not be relevant.

I would really appreciate it if you could please fill out my questionnaire. My research project makes up 40% of my mark for my High School Certificate, so if possible, I am trying to ask as many people as possible. The more responses I receive, the better my marks for my research project will be.

You do not need to provide your name or personal details. All of your responses are anonymous and will remain confidential. I'm sorry if a few of the questions may be a bit hard or complex. I had to try and make my questionnaire as detailed and analytical as possible. Also, anyone from any country can answer my questionnaire. None of the questions have anything to do with a country in particular. If you have any questions in regards to my questionnaire (or in general), please let me know. I will be happy to help you with anything that you may not be too sure about. Thank you.

Also, I would like to thank Onkel Neal again for allowing me to share my questionnaire on subsim. I really appreciate it!

Questionnaire completed. Research: taking conclusions formed ahead of time and generating a semblance of "evidence" that you are correct. Toss out any evidence accidentally acquired that might cause you to question your superior foreknowledge. OH! Ask questions that are tailored to produce only the result you seek.

Voila! An A from a teacher who learned to research that way too.

Real life hint: true research finds unexpected things that you can use to become a better person or benefit humanity. Sometimes the results of research are unsettling, unexpected, offensive and unwelcome. True research results in learning, not reinforcing prejudices.

Pretty much my take on it as well. He's looking to find evidence of his preconceived notions.

Thanks for completing it.

I understand what you mean, although the questions in my survey need to loosely address what I am aiming to research. However, with that said, I deliberately made my questions in a way that would either support or disprove my research question.

I definitely intend on using all of the responses I have received for typing up my research report. If the majority or a large proportion of the responses suggest that generations do in fact represent certain age groups, then I will make note of it in my research and base my conclusion off the responses I have received.

This is the first questionnaire I have ever made, so there are definitely things that I could improve on.

Yeah like more in depth questions for example.

One big one that's missing is for respondents to list the top thing or things that they feel define theirs and other generations. If you get a lot of similarity in the responses by age group that's a pretty strong indicator of the presence of a generational identity.
