Default Looking for alternative Obs Periscope mod

First, here is my current mods list:

GWX 3
Widescreen MaGui 3.4 SA
WS MG 3.4 SA Fix for GWX3
TMT v2 for GWX
GWX 16km Atmosphere
GWX Enhanced Damage Effects
GWX Late War Sensors Snorkel Antennas
GWX VIIC-41 Player Sub
J to Z Class Mod
J to Z Class Visual Fix
Guns UK
Merchant Fleet Mod 3.2

I am happy with MaGui but there is one thing I would absolutely love: An Obs periscope view that fills up as much of the screen as possible. Currently, the view through both periscopes is so small I need to get as close as 1500 meters at high noon before I can see the flag on the target. A bigger Obs periscope would hopefully do something about that. Also, the way it is now, I have absolutely no reason to use the Obs periscope since the top magnification equals the middle mag. setting on the attack scope. There is nothing useful the Obs scope can do that the attack scope can't do better. A larger Obs scope view would change that as well.

So, after all those words: Is there a mod you can recommend that will give the biggest on screen image of what's in the obs scope, while keeping the scales/markings?

I only need a new obs scope that works with MaGui but of course, if there are complete periscope packages that go well with MaGui, then feel free to mention those.

In real life the settings on both periscopes were the same. A more realistic mod would be to have the Attack Periscope be dimmer, to the point of being useless at night. The counter would be having the Observation 'Scope be much easier for the enemy to spot.

Because the eyepiece fits the eye, realistically both 'scopes should fill the whole screen. I think there have been mods that do as you ask, but I can't remember which ones at the moment.

Thanks heaps for chiming in, Steve, greatly appreciated. I totally agree on the night&day issue with the scopes and it has been a minor grief of mine that. IIRC, manuals and elsewhere, it was mentioned that the Obs scope was better at night but in the actual game, I have never in the 7-8 years I've been playing SH3 noticed any difference at all other than zoom levels and scales/markings. Would be great if the choice of scopes would make a difference both in night time useability as well as chance of being spotted.

It appears than in the original (???) OLC mod, the obs scope was indeed more full screen but seeing MaGui uses parts of OLC, but not all, I'm in doubt over whether importing the OLC Obs scope would work without breaking MaGui or not.

Some time ago, i tried to do a combination of OLC and Magui F, in particular for observation periscope, the game loads, but after several error messages in the menu ini, that unfortunately dont have enough knowledge to fix it, maybe I did not turned to the right person,he,he

Your experience there is what I feared would happen, that there would be some inherent incompatibility. I also read up on a series of posts where it was explained why makman94 chose to drop the full screen scope view so I don't think there will be a specific support for modding MaGui for a new scope.

Specific support doesn't mean it would be impossible though.
